This guide will show you how to connect and install your bird box daytime lamp.

Before you begin

You will need a daytime bird box light, a bird box and a 12V power supply. If you are using a non-12V camera (like the NC701G) you will need to connect this lamp to a separate power supply to the light.

As a general rule, you should mount the lamp behind and to the side of the camera. This is to avoid the light directly shining into the camera, and to avoid it casting a shadow in front of the camera lens. This will vary depending on the type of bird box and type of camera you are using.
